Cold Laser Therapy is a very new and exciting treatment option we have available in our River Oaks office. We currently have one of the most advanced lasers available on the market called the MLS M6.
It was developed to overcome the limits of traditional Laser therapy, based on the use of diode lasers. Until now, no diode laser was able to induce strong anti-inflammatory, anti-edema and pain relieving effects simultaneously and within a short period of time. MLS Therapy is able to overcome the limits imposed by selecting one of the two emission types, since it is based on the characteristic therapeutic properties of a new laser pulse. It uses an MLS pulse, which combines and synchronizes emission of continuous and pulsed laser emissions with different infared wavelengths. We are currently the only clinic in the River Oaks and Fort Worth area to have the MLS M6 laser.
These specific wave lengths of focused light are used to treat many painful and debilitating conditions. It does this by stimulating activity inside the bodies damaged cells which decreases pain as well as dramatically speeding up the healing process. The treatments are painless and generally range from two to 15 minuets. Most patients start to see positive results in 1-3 treatments. There is generally greatly reduced swelling and a rapid relief of pain. Chronic conditions can be controlled with regular treatments. Acute conditions usually subside very quickly.
